It's rare to honor the spirit of animals by making offerings to the departed. Sometimes there are only parts. Interestingly that has been the case most times for me.

A Special Place

I thought I found a great spot during last week's exploration. Yesterday I found a bench so much off the beatten path as to be totally hidden. See the picture below.

Apparently, long ago, they set up a walking path around the campus with benches to stop at on the way. I know it's old because I found a map posted on an outdoor building column that was missing the building next to it.

I have been taking breaks at a little used bench under some trees by the main entrance. This is my new spot.

A Thank You

Two feathers is an unusual find. I thought I'd put them to good use. Afterwards, I found another one.

Most days at work I put this rock back up on these two sticks.
